Cheesy Chicken Nachos with Janes Pub Style Chicken Strips

Talk about versatility – Janes Pub Style Chicken Strips make an awesome snack! Try these Cheesy Chicken Nachos with lots of ooey-gooey melted cheddar and smoky bacon crumble. Yummmmm!

Prep Time: 15 minutes (while Chicken Strips are baking)
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

10 Janes Pub Style Chicken Strips
1 large tomato, diced into large chunks
1 cup (250 g) shredded cheddar cheese
1 fresh green onion and 1 jalalpeño pepper, finely sliced (optional)
½ red pepper, finely diced
½ cup (125 mL) each of guacamole, sour cream and chunky salsa

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Place 10 Janes Pub Style Chicken Strips on a baking tray sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 10 minutes and then flip each strip and bake for another 8 minutes.
2. While the chicken strips are baking, prepare the tomato, green onion, jalapeño and red peppers.
3. When the strips are finished baking, remove from oven. Allow them to sit for 2 minutes, then divide the chicken strips into 2 oven-proof dishes, and top each with half of the tomato and half of the cheese. Sprinkle bacon crumble on top.
4. Place back into oven until cheese is melted (approximately 2-5 minutes).
5. Remove from oven and garnish with slices of green onion, jalapeno, and diced red pepper.
6. Serve with ¼ cup each of guacamole, sour cream and chunky salsa.

Tip: Crumbled bacon is also a great topping.

Honey Garlic Chicken Noodle Bowl with Janes Whole Wheat Strips

This could easily become your next family favourite! Delicious crispy pieces of Janes Whole Wheat Chicken Strips top off this colourful bowl of sautéed veggies and springy noodles. Smothered in a tangy, sweet and sticky Honey Garlic Sauce.

Prep Time: 40 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

8 Janes Whole Wheat Chicken Strips, cut into diagonal, bite-size pieces
4 portions of Cantonese or Ramen noodles, cooked as per package instructions
4 cups (1000 g) frozen Asian-style vegetables
2 tsp (30 mL) vegetable oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
4 tsp (20 mL) chives or green onion, chopped
2 tsp (10 mL) sesame seeds (optional)
1 cup (250 g) honey garlic sauce (store-bought)

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Place 8 Janes Whole Wheat Chicken Strips on a baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes and then flip and bake for another 8 minutes.
2. Sautée vegetables in vegetable oil until tender-crisp, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
3. Prepare noodles as per package instructions.
4. To assemble: Divide noodles into 4 bowls and top each with ¼ of the vegetables. Top each with 2 of the cut Janes Whole Wheat Chicken Strips. Heat the sauce in the microwave on high for 1 minute, stir and then drizzle onto each bowl. Garnish with chopped green chives or green onions and sesame seeds.

Tip: Try adding bok choy for a more authentic noodle bowl experience. Add lemon juice or lemon zest for an additional layer of flavour!
